New Hairstyle

On leave today, brought mom to see doctor. Good news, she is discharged and don't have to go back if we feel there is no need to. We went to "Four Horse Road" temple to pray. After that mom went to work while I went to Simei for my haircut. After my haircut, went back to Sengkang for my dental. Feel that today leave is well spent :)

Another baby

Wonder have I become worse or better, cos I have been spending money lately. Something that hardly happened to me. What did I buy this time? I bought a second-hand Canon EOS 30D at $1k. I'm so poor now. Anyone wanna buy me dinner?

3 DSLR. The smallest one is 400D, my current camera. The one without external flash on it is 30D, my current 'new' camera. The other one is EOS 1D, my ShiFu's.

Bought a second-hand Creative Zen Vision W from a friend. Havent really play with it, however did a bit of testing, the sound system is fantastic.

1 June 2008, Singapore Flyer

Went on an outing with parents and relatives to Singapore Flyer. Auntie Annie managed to get the tickets at half price. It was fun to be out with family/relatives. After the flyer, we went to Auntie Annie's house for dinner.

24 May 2008, cable skiing at East Coast

Company organised cable skiing for staff, so I signed up and went. A bit scare initially, however I still go ahead to try. Used the kneeboard, which is much easier than the wakeboard.

It was fun except for all the salty water that I drank and went into my nose and ear. Oh, and the walking back to shore was terrible. Once you dropped into the water, you have to swim to shore and walked back to the starting point. As it was noon, the floor was terribly hot. Have to walk fast and run and hopped.

21 May 2008, celebrated Jessica and Susan's birthday

We met up to go Giraffe (opp Istana). As usual, I went earlier to arrange with the staff for surprises. They do not serve cakes so I ordered dessert to be serve as cake. Found out they ran out of candles, so called Dorothy to buy. Then secretly passed to the staff without the two birthday gals knowing.

After ordering our food, I took out the Tshirts I bought for all of them.

17 - 20 May 2008, Hong Kong trip

After my Taiwan trip in April, I went to Hong Kong with 2 colleagues. We arrived in Hong Kong on 17 May and took Airbus A21 to Prudential Hotel (Jordan MTR) in Kowloon.
After check-in, we went to The Peak. Had dinner at The Peak and head down to Lan Kwai Fong. Then we went to Ladies' Market, however it was near to their closing time. So we called it a day and went back to hotel.

18 May (2nd day), we went to Lantau Island. Finally, I get to go to Po Lin Monastery to see the big buddha. Many years ago when I visited Hong Kong I did not go, so this time I made it. Had vegetarian lunch and went back to Tung Chung. There is a Citygate Mall at the Tung Chung MTR. Shop a bit and left to Mei Foo, went to a friend, Mandy's dessert store. However, she was not there. After dessert, we went to Granville Road (Tsim Sha Tsui MTR). Then to Fa Yuen Street and Ladies' Market.

Had Tim Sum breakfast on our 3rd day. Then we went to Disneyland. Weather was bad, it was raining throughout. We took photos and also shop. We had pizza for dinner and to Ladies' Market again. Had dessert too.

So fast, last day of our trip. Early morning, we went to Wong Tai Sin Temple. It was still raining. As we are so early, many shops were still not open yet. So we went back to hotel. Rest a bit then took a cab to airport. Long queue to check-in. By the time we get our boarding pass, we do not have much time left. Quickly, went in and go for lunch and then to our boarding gate 27. To realise that our gate has been changed, quickly went to gate 1. Then board the plane and home sweet home.
